What is Yoga Therapy?
In the past decade, modern medicine and scientific studies have documented the close interaction of body, mind and spirit — how one influences the other. This concept has been integral to classical yoga for thousands of years, and because yoga addresses the whole individual — physically, mentally, energetically, and spiritually, it provides healing at many different levels. Yoga as therapy is one of the original and longest lasting forms of holistic health management.

I have a government accredited Diploma of Satyananda Yoga Teaching from Australia and have taught yoga since 1995. I was named an Acharya (master of yoga) by my guru in India in 2015. Prior to owning a yoga center for 23 years, I was a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) for over 25 years and taught anesthesia for more than 10 years at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
I have found that my medical background and my extensive experience teaching thousands of yoga students has given me a unique perspective in creating personalized yoga therapy programs that will support and improve your health.
I have taught yoga internationally in Australia, Colombia, Mexico, India, and Greece, and have been a presenter at Yoga Alliance conferences, and programs at Kripalu and Omega retreat centers here in the US.
